Kazuo Zaitsu

Kazuo Zaitsu is a Japanese composer, lyricist, actor, and the lead singer of the pop group Tulip. Born in Fukuoka in 1948, he has been a fixture in the Japanese music scene since 1970. Blessed with a keen sense of melody and a near limitless vocal range, Zaitsu-san's diverse repertoire seemingly spans all moods and genres. His poetic lyrics combined with his soulful voice have resulted in some of the most famous Japanese pop songs to date.
